Privacy Policy

Wrenly is made by Lucas Carlos Chiodi ("we", "us"). We built Wrenly to keep your words on your computer. This page explains exactly what the app and this website do with your information.
What the Wrenly app does
- Your typing. To spot your abbreviations, Wrenly keeps the last few characters you typed in memory on your computer. This is never saved to disk, logged or sent anywhere, and it's cleared constantly. Wrenly doesn't read password fields.
- Your snippets. Your snippets and settings are stored only in a file on your own computer. We can't see them.
- Your clipboard. To insert a snippet, Wrenly briefly places it on your clipboard and then restores what you had copied before. Nothing from your clipboard leaves your computer.
- License activation. When you activate or check a license key, the app sends the key and your computer's name to our payment provider, Lemon Squeezy, to confirm the key is valid. Nothing else is sent.
- No tracking. The app contains no analytics, advertising or tracking code.
When you buy Wrenly
Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the reseller and merchant of record. Lemon Squeezy collects your name, email address, billing country and payment details to process the payment, handle taxes and send your license key. We receive your name, email address and order details so we can provide support. We never see your full card number. Lemon Squeezy's own privacy policy applies to the payment.
When you email us
If you contact support, we use your email address and message only to reply and help you.
This website
This website doesn't use cookies or tracking. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP addresses) for security for a short time.
Sharing
We don't sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with the services listed above, as needed to deliver Wrenly, or when the law requires it.
Your rights
You can ask us to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you (usually just your name, email and order). Email us at our support address and we'll respond within 30 days. If you're in the EU, UK or another region with data-protection laws, you also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.
Children
Wrenly isn't directed at children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
